This mix was my entry for the 106KMEL “Ultimate” DJ contest. Unfortunately it was just a popularity contest in who can get the most votes. Here’s a little inside scoop, i’ve heard that some DJ’s are making fake email accounts to vote for themselves. haha. Pretty drastic right? I’m not being bitter about anything because the only point I wanted to prove was that DOPE mixtapes can over shine the weak ones, in this battle.. The weak won. This mix was started back almost three to four years ago, I don’t even remember haha. But, I finally decided to finish it. The concept is really about the journey one goes through when you get into different relationships in life, and then “HOPEFULLY” finding that special someone finally at the end of it all, hence the title. Ahhh, It’s been a while. This is my first mixtape since the “SJ 2 LA” collabo I did with the homie Dstrukt. This one features some of the newest (some old) top 40/dance tracks in rotation right now.
